FERVELECTRIC In 1967 Juan Ferret Carbonell built a vehicle that was to be one of the best presentation cards for Ferve in its entire history: The Fervelectric, en electric automobile. With bodywork based on a 1902 Rambler, the Fervelectric was highlighted in newspapers, magazines, radios and television channels. Two years later Juan Ferret managed to get it registered to be used on public roads like any other vehicle. In 1980 thanks to photoelectric cells on its roof, the Fervelectric became a solar-powered car. Once again the car was in the news and is even mentioned on the media of countries as distant as China. This experimental vehicle, considered the first solar automobile manufactured in Spain, has been driven by people as famous as Juan Manuel Fangio, five times world racing champion, or the clown Charlie Rivel. |
